Ochre & Oat is a one-person print shop selling printable wall art. This page explains, plainly, what happens to data in the three places we operate: this website, our Etsy shop, and the private tool we use to post our own artwork to Pinterest.
The short version: this website has no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not sell or share personal information. Our Pinterest tool posts our own products to our own account and does not gather information about anyone else.
This website
These pages are static. There is nothing to log into, no contact form, no newsletter sign-up, no shopping cart, and no analytics or advertising scripts.
Like almost every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs. Those records can include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. They exist so the site can be kept running and secure, and they are not used to build a profile of you or shared with anyone for marketing.
The page fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. That request is made by your browser directly, and is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Buying from us
We do not sell anything on this website. All orders, payments and downloads happen on our Etsy shop. Etsy runs the checkout and handles your payment details — we never see or store your card information.
As the seller, Etsy shows us the order information we need to fulfil and support a purchase, such as your Etsy username, order contents and any message you send us. We use that only to complete your order and answer your questions. Etsy's own handling of your data is covered by Etsy's privacy policy.
Our Pinterest posting tool
We run a small private tool that publishes our own product images to our own Pinterest account, so our shop's pins go out on a steady schedule instead of by hand.
- It is used by one person — the shop owner. It is not offered to anyone else, and there are no other users to sign in.
- It connects to Pinterest using Pinterest's official API, with an access token granted by the shop owner through Pinterest's own approval screen.
- It stores only what it needs to do its job: that access token, and our own product details (image links, product links, and the wording of each pin).
- It does not read, collect or store information about other Pinterest users, their boards, or their activity. It does not post to anyone else's account.
- The access token is kept privately by the shop owner. It is never sold, shared or passed to a third party, and access can be withdrawn at any time from Pinterest's own account settings.
Data obtained through Pinterest is used only to publish our own pins, in line with Pinterest's developer terms.
We do not run a mailing list and we do not send marketing email. If we email you, it is a reply to something you contacted us about.
Children
Our shop is intended for adults buying art for their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
Because this site has no accounts and collects nothing beyond ordinary server logs, there is little for us to hold about you. If you have bought from us and want to know what order information we hold, or want it deleted, message us and we will sort it out. Requests tied to an Etsy order may also need to go through Etsy, since Etsy holds that record.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
Contact
The most reliable way to reach us is a message through our Etsy shop — it goes straight to the shop owner and is checked alongside orders.
